New castle despite being a relatively new Institution has gained immense popularity in a very short span of time. Situated in a very convenient location at Dhanmondi, it is distinguished from others for it's eminent faculty members, constructive style of teaching, friendly student support and progressive attitude. Some of the features of Newcastle Law Academy are :
(A) Lectures/Seminars/Tutorials:
Classes are conducted by barristers with experience in teaching. Extra
classes are offered as and when necessary. Tutorials/seminars are also held
for a review of the topic completed. The academy takes a pragmatic attitude
towards teaching and is always willing to improve the standard. Throughout
the academic year, students will have to do at least three mock examinations
on the basis of syllabus covered.
Academy has a library with adequate books for all taught subjects. Journals like Criminal Law Review, Law Quarterly Review, New Law Journal are also in stock. Books are issued to be read in the library and we are keen to have the latest editions.
The Academy will soon introduce computer facilities in the library with internet
connections for student research. This is in recognition of the truth that
studying in the coming years will evolve around computers and CD ROMs rather
than books.
Occasionally guest lectureres, qualified in their field, will speak on the current topics to provide students with further insight in contentious areas of law. We also appreciate that Newcastle students should have basic knowledge of Bangladeshi legal system. Hence some of these lectures will deal with the legal system in Bangladesh.
(G) Student Counseling:
We are willing to render all possible academic assistance sought by the students. However, the Students must be cautious about the application deadlines for their relevant courses. It must be appreciated that these deadlines are set by the respective Institutions and Academy has no control over such time limits. Students must read the University prospectuses thoroughly so that mistakes do not occur.

Additional Expenses:
A Level and First Year LLB students are suggested to buy a package of recommended
text and case books available in the Academy at a reasonable rate. Throughout
the year students will also have to bear the photocopying expenses. But no
other charges will usually be made, subject to under subscribed optional subjects,
for extra classes, mocks, seminars.
(I) Obtaining information:
Students are advised to regularly see the Notice Boards for class schedules, academic information, mail collection etc.
